    Privacy Policy

    Effective Date: June 18, 2026

    1. Introduction

    This Privacy Policy explains how Drivvy LLC ("Drivvy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the Drivvy — teen driving log mobile application (the "App").

    The App is designed to help teens log driving practice hours and prepare for driving exams, as well as to allow parents or guardians to view and support a teen's driving progress.

    By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

    This Privacy Policy applies only to users located in the United States. The App is intended for use by users aged 14 years and older and is not designed for use outside the United States.

    2. Location Information

    The App collects precise location information to provide core driving-log functionality — including detecting road types, calculating distance traveled, recording the route of an individual saved drive, and supporting the active-session timer and lock-screen driving controls.

    We collect location data only while a driving session is active, including while a session continues to run with the device screen locked. We do not collect location in the background when no driving session is running, and we do not collect it when the App is closed. Location collection occurs only after you grant the App location permission, which you may change or revoke at any time through your device settings.

    We do not use location data for advertising, marketing, or profiling, and we do not sell it. Because many of our users are minors, we treat precise location as sensitive information and limit its use strictly to the driving-log features described above.

    3. How We Use Information

    We use the information we collect solely for legitimate business and App functionality purposes, including to:

    • Create and manage user accounts, including authenticating users through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google;
    • Provide core App functionality, such as logging driving practice sessions, tracking distance and time, identifying road types, and generating driving logs;
    • Enable parent or guardian access, allowing invited parents or guardians to view a teen user's driving data and activity;
    • Communicate with users, including sending transactional messages related to account activity and providing optional educational tips and guidance to help users improve driving practice;
    • Process in-app purchases, including managing access to paid features based on purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store;
    • Monitor and improve App performance, including analyzing usage trends, diagnosing technical issues, and improving features and reliability;
    • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
    • Generate educational insights and drive development indicators, such as the Drive Readiness Score™, based on logged driving sessions and parent evaluations.

    We do not use personal information for advertising purposes, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.

    Categories of Personal Information We Collect

    Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

    • Account information, such as name and email address, used to create and manage user accounts;
    • Driving activity data, including driving time, distance, session duration, and related driving logs;
    • Precise location information collected only during active driving sessions, with user permission, to support driving log functionality;
    • Device and usage information, such as app usage data, device type, operating system, and crash or performance diagnostics;
    • Communications, including messages you send to us for customer support or feedback.

    We collect only the personal information necessary to provide the App's core functionality and do not collect personal information for advertising purposes.

    De-Identified and Aggregated Data

    We may create de-identified and aggregated data from the information we collect — for example, combined statistics about driving practice, conditions, and Drive Readiness Score™ trends across many users, with all direct and indirect identifiers removed so the data can no longer reasonably be associated with any individual user, account, teen, or parent. We may use, retain, disclose, and publish de-identified and aggregated data for any lawful purpose, including research, product improvement, and public reporting or marketing about driving-practice trends and the Drive Readiness Score™. We maintain and use this data only in de-identified form, do not attempt to re-identify it, and require recipients to do the same. De-identified and aggregated data is not personal information and is not subject to the access, correction, or deletion rights described in this Policy.

    4. User Accounts & Parent/Guardian Access

    The App allows users to create individual accounts using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Each account is personal and associated with a single user.

    Teen Accounts

    Teen users aged 14 and older may create and manage their own accounts. Information entered or generated through a teen account, including driving logs and related activity data, is associated with that teen's account.

    Parent or Guardian Access

    Teen users may invite a parent or guardian to create a separate account by providing the parent or guardian's name and email address. Upon accepting the invitation and creating an account, the parent or guardian may be granted access to view the teen's driving data, logs, and related activity within the App.

    Parent or guardian access is read-only and is intended to support and monitor a teen's driving practice. Parents or guardians do not control the teen's account settings and cannot modify driving logs or other data unless explicitly enabled within the App.

    Teen users may manage or revoke parent or guardian access at any time through the App.

    5. Emails & Communications

    We may send emails and other communications to users for the following purposes:

    • Transactional communications, such as account registration confirmations, security notifications, support responses, and important service-related updates;
    • Educational and informational messages, including tips, guidance, and suggestions intended to help users improve their driving practice and make better use of the App.

    Users may opt out of receiving non-essential educational or informational emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in such communications or by contacting us directly.

    We do not send third-party marketing or advertising emails, and we do not sell or rent user email addresses to third parties.

    6. In-App Purchases

    The App is currently free to use. We do not currently offer paid features or process in-app purchases, and we do not collect payment information. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store — we will not collect or store payment card or billing details — and we will update this Policy before doing so.

    7. Data Sharing & Third Parties

    We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

    We may share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

    • Service providers: With trusted third-party service providers who help us operate, maintain, and improve the App, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics services (for example, Firebase or similar tools), and infrastructure partners. These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect such information.
    • Authentication and platform services: With Apple and Google for account authentication, analytics, and in-app purchase processing, in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.
    • Legal requirements: When required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or lawful requests from public authorities.
    • Protection of rights: When necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, protect the security or integrity of the App, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Drivvy, our users, or others.

    We do not share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

    8. Data Retention & Deletion

    We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

    Data Retention

    Personal information, including account information and driving logs, is retained while a user's account remains active. We may retain certain information for a limited period after account deletion if required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

    Account Deletion

    You may delete your account and all associated personal information at any time directly in the App (Settings → Delete Account). You may also request deletion by contacting hello@drivvy.app. Upon deletion, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is legally required. If you registered with Sign in with Apple, we will revoke the associated Apple authentication tokens as part of deletion. Residual backup copies will be securely deleted on our normal backup cycle.

    Backups

    Residual copies of personal information may remain in backup systems for a limited time but will not be used for any other purpose and will be securely deleted in accordance with our data retention practices.

    9. Data Security

    We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

    Despite these efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of personal information, and users provide information at their own risk.

    10. Children's Privacy

    The App is intended for use by individuals aged 14 years and older. Users aged 13 and under are not permitted to create accounts or use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children aged 13 and under.

    If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child aged 13 and under without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.

    If you believe that a child aged 13 and under has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at hello@drivvy.app so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

    11. Your Rights & Choices

    You have certain rights and choices regarding your personal information, including:

    • Access and review: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
    • Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
    • Deletion: You may delete your account and associated personal information, as described in the "Data Retention & Deletion" section.
    • Email preferences: You may opt out of receiving non-essential educational or informational emails at any time.
    • Data portability: You may request a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and portable format, subject to identity verification.

    To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@drivvy.app. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to requests.

    12. State Privacy Rights

    Certain U.S. state privacy laws, including those in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah, provide residents of those states with specific rights regarding their personal information.

    Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

    • Request access to the personal information we collect about you;
    • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
    • Request deletion of your personal information;
    • Request a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
    • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (if applicable).

    These rights apply to personal information and do not extend to de-identified or aggregated data, which we may use and disclose as described in the "How We Use Information" section of this Privacy Policy. Because de-identified and aggregated data does not identify you and cannot reasonably be linked back to you, it is not subject to access, correction, deletion, or portability requests.

    Drivvy does not sell or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

    To exercise any applicable state privacy rights, please contact us at hello@drivvy.app. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to your request.

    California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit privacy rights requests on their behalf. We may require verification of the authorized agent's authority and the identity of the requesting user.

    13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons.

    When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the App after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
